Meet Floria Chiu
Champion for Women in Security and Business

Floria excels at empowering women in security and business to break barriers, lead with confidence, and navigate complex professional environments. She is a mentor, advocate, and strategist, motivated by the belief that at the heart of true success lies the ability to self-manage.
As a results-driven leader, she has a natural ability to identify and assess stagnation and pain points among employees at all levels of an organization and develop strategic action plans that drive progress. Floria excels at aligning cross-functional teams and engaging stakeholders effortlessly, supporting transformative initiatives that deliver ongoing, measurable impact to businesses, their employees, and customers.
Floria ensures that growth, inclusion, and innovation stay at the core while she focuses on solving problems at the micro level. With over twenty years of leading sales, client retention, and operational efficiency at companies such as TELUS, Allied Universal, and G4S Canada, Floria has earned a reputation for navigating high-stakes, growth-oriented environments with strategic insight and collaborative leadership.
In 2018, as the Director of Marketing and Communications at G4S, she recognized the important role of private security in supporting Canada’s national security efforts to prevent radicalization to violence. She led a major initiative to enhance the skills of G4S’s security personnel and chief security leaders within some of Canada’s top organizations, in collaboration with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Counter Terrorism Information Officer (CTIO) training. This effort significantly raised awareness of indicators of radicalization to violence and prevention within the private security sector during a period of increased public safety concerns.
On her own time, she has participated in numerous roundtables, panel discussions, and meetings, including Canadian security industry forums, women in security events, and guest speaking engagements for ASIS and the Security Industry Association (SIA). Floria also serves on the Advisory Board for SP&T News’ Security Integrator of the Year award, supporting the recognition of excellence and innovation in the industry. In 2022, her impact was recognized when she was named to the Security Industry Association’s (SIA) Women in Security Forum Power 100—a testament to her influence and commitment to supporting others in their careers.
At Whitefield Consulting, she serves as the Champion for Women in Security and Business. Collaborating with Param Dhillon was a natural step, building on their work in 2018, delivering CTIO training to the Canadian security sector. Since then, Floria has been involved in many discussions and brainstorming sessions about the future of women and ways to support their professional development. Now, she is ready to take action by closing a vital gap: empowering women in these fields through self-management. Her philosophy is simple: sharpen your tools, manage yourself, and success will follow.
