Though the company does not provide sales figures, Amazon said that in 2018 that it sold over 100 million products with over $1.5 billion in sales by third-party sellers.

For cord-cutters and show streamers, you can get your hands on some discounted Fire TV gear for your TV, 4K or otherwise on Prime Day.

That's $50 in free Amazon credit for taking easy actions and spending $10 at Whole Foods. You must be a Prime member to take advantage of this promo.

To cut down on impulse purchases, write down what you want ahead of time and set a spending limit, says Ross Steinman, a professor of psychology at Widener University in Chester, Pa.

Take note that unless it's available for in-store pickup, shipping will cost extra unless you spend at least $35.
