Yep, you read that right: The couple made an appearance to watch the New York Yankees face off against the Boston Red Sox during the first Major League baseball game to be played in Europe.

The couple was also accompanied by 10 Invictus participants.

Before the match they were presented with a Yankees shirt and a Red Sox baby bodysuit for their son Archie.

Earlier in June, the foundation announced it had become MLB's charity partner for the weekend series in London.

"You guys have beaten next door's present, by the way", Prince Harry told the Yankees.

Former Invictus competitors from both the US and United Kingdom will take part as the ceremonial first pitch is thrown on the ball park. He pounced on an 0-1 fastball from Rick Porcello at the top of the first inning, returning it to right field for a leadoff single and inking his name in the history books as the first Major League Baseball player to record a hit of any variety in Europe.

Chief Executive Dominic Reid said: "The support from these groundbreaking games will significantly enhance the Foundation's ability to provide recovery opportunities for worldwide wounded, injured, or sick serving or veteran armed forces personnel".

On Saturday, the Red Sox and Yankees begin a two-game #LondonSeries.

Prince Harry founded the Invictus Games for wounded, injured or sick armed services personnel and veterans from all over the globe to compete in various competitions.
