Google Calendar is down, you might want to reschedule today

But jokes aside, Google has been having issues and a almost 3 hour outage didn't help matters.

Users said they had issues accessing the Google Calendar desktop version, but were still able to open the app.

On Tuesday morning, Google Calendar stopped working.

As of 10:30 a.m. (ET), almost 4,400 reports had been submitted from users affected by the outage.

UPDATE 8:40AM: Google is acknowledging now that this is a full service outage of Calendar.

Other apps appeared to be unaffected by the outage. "The affected users are unable to access Google Calendar".

Few people have a calendar backup, however, and so we're imagining there may be a fair number of people using the "Oh, sorry I missed it, Google Calendar didn't remind me" excuse over the rest of the day. "That's an Error" message.

Ironically, Google Calendar went down just about an hour after Google's G Suite Twitter account published a tweet about how the app makes scheduling simpler.

As with all service outages - they seem to be more frequent than ever before - it's unclear what the cause is.
