If you were thinking that Justin Bieber challenging Tom Cruise to a fight in the octagon the best thing you've seen online this week, we've got some great news for you. O.J. Simpson just tweeted out a video announcing his arrival into the Twittersphere.

Simpson also mentioned that viewers will get to read his "thoughts and opinions on just about everything". "It should be a lot of fun".

He was released from prison on October 1.

Shortly after his video, somebody made a decision to create a similar account that had people thinking he had just admitted to murder and trying to contact R. Kelly. Simpson has finally joined social media.and he's apparently going to use it to settle some scores.

After Simpson was acquitted in the criminal case for the infamous double-homicide, he was ordered to pay $33.5 million in wrongful death damages in connection with the corresponding civil case.

"The pain is always there, the loss is always there", Goldman's father, Fred Goldman, said during a Good Morning America interview on Wednesday, to mark the significant anniversary.

Simpson's appearance on Twitter angered some users and-in keeping with Twitter tradition-spawned a flood of memes and parodies.

Simpson's Twitter account - @TheRealOJ32 - refers to the number he wore on his jersey as a star running back at the University of Southern California and then with the NFL's Buffalo Bills.

Since the 1995 trial, Simpson has been embroiled in numerous other legal and public controversies.

He was later convicted of robbery and kidnapping for an incident where he tried to steal sports memorabilia.
