'Final Fantasy VII Remake' footage blew everybody away at E3

I've never enjoyed that part of the game so it's great that they have given us a toggle.

Square Enix is the last major press event ahead of E3 2019, which is officially coming June 11 to 13. I know that I will be spending a couple of hundred hours playing the game.

Scott Amos and Meagan Marie, both from Crystal Dynamics, come out next. "Every new superhero, and every new region, will be delivered at no additional cost", Amos said.

We'll stop there so we don't spoil the entire trailer for all of you Final Fantasy VII fanatics out there and shift instead to the various deluxe editions Square Enix announced today for the game today.

You will be able to switch between party members with the push of a button, and the gameplay presentation gave us a look at Barrett, Aeris, and Tifa in action. While standard attacks can be unleashed at any time, a pair (!) of ATB meters will charge up, offering the ability to unleash magic, techniques and a new "tactical mode" that looks like a moment, frozen in time.

Square Enix PR sent Game Informer a follow-up email stating: "While the development team finishes the first game of the project, they are also planning the volume of content for the second". The Switch version of Dragon Quest 11, also previously announced, got an approximate release date of this fall. Surprisingly, we'll get our hands on Final Fantasy VIII Remastered when it releases later this year.

Shadowbringers is more than an expansion pack, Yoshida says. Massongill assured long time fans that the remake's combat is true to the original, as it still relies heavily on turn-based elements when in some of the game's more frantic situations.

There are still a lot of questions about how the whole game will be tweaked and upgraded. Like, an overwhelming amount. Nostalgia is a huge part of these remasters so it is important that while the game is updated to fit modern technology, it isn't edited to the point of being unrecognizable. Either way, there's bound to be one game here for everyone.

Square Enix then featured an extensive combat tutorial where Cloud and Barret take on a massive robot boss.
