The skies look gloomy, tortured with light, and in combination with the authentic laser sounds, moody soundtrack and *skreeees* of overhead Tie Fighters, allays any fears that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will lack for scale or spectacle.

EA opened their schedule of EA Play streams with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order gameplay, and not a small teaser, but fifteen unedited minutes from the game. Players will take the role of Cal Kestis, a young Padawan on the run as the Empire seeks to eliminate any and all remaining Jedi. They talked for a short while before we moved onto gameplay of Kashyyyk, a point that takes place about three hours into the game. We also saw lightsaber combat (which looks absolutely incredible) as well as usage of force abilities.

In the Star Wars cinematic series, Rogue One takes place shortly before the events of A New Hope, focusing on the team who leads the charge against the Empire that brings about the rise of Luke Skywalker. You don't just mash through foes like potatoes, but have to use parrying, evasion and force powers to wear them down. We also looked at games like Bloodborne and Dark Souls that have the same types of methodology.

No Star Wars game would be complete without a good story, and Jedi: Fallen Order paints an interesting picture. The game will release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on November 15, 2019.

That is changing with Fallen Order, which gives players a glimpse into the life of a Jedi after Order 66 and the Jedi Purge.

If the gameplay you've seen so far wasn't enough to sell you on Fallen Order, the developers have promised to showcase more footage tomorrow at 1PM PT, during Microsoft's pre-E3 conference. Aided by a former Jedi Knight, a cantankerous pilot and a fearless droid, you must escape the evil machinations of the Empire in a story-driven adventure.
