E3 2019: Federation Internationale de Football Association 20 Reveal Goes All-In on Street-Based Volta Mode

This is FIFA Street as you remember it: 3v3, 4v4, or 5v5, each with different modes like Rush Football (no goalkeepers) and professional futsal. Volta is Portuguese for "return", which tells you all you need to know: FIFA Street is back, and it's being done properly.

Volta "takes football back to the streets with the authentic culture, creativity, and style of the small-sided game", EA says. You will be able to build your own player, choose the gear, and play in various areas around the globe such as a "London cage, an Amsterdam underpass, and a Tokyo rooftop".

Good news! EA has confirmed that Federation Internationale de Football Association 20 is coming to the Switch. More news on the recently announced game is expected during the event.

Just to drive home the effort to appeal to the modern gaming market, VOLTA will include custom cosmetics for your male or female character - including hairstyles and tattoos - and celebration emotes.

Volta's pitches will all be varied too, offering different sized arenas, and those with and without walls, too. You'll also have more control over the Decisive Moments that decide the outcome of games in both attack and defense with a Set Piece Refresh, Controlled Tackling, and Composed Finishing.

Despite having a scheduled timeslot at the more organized EA Play this year, Federation Internationale de Football Association fans didn't have to wait until then to get a first glimpse at this year's game, which releases on September 20 on PS4, Xbox One and PC via Origin. There's also a new ball physics system with new shot trajectories, more realistic tackling, and physics-driven behaviour for "a new level of realism".

Offensively, EA Sports wants to give more time and space to the dribbler and create more tense one-on-ones.
