The countdown begins for the final season of Marvel's Jessica Jones on Netflix.

In the new season, we know that Jessica will face off against a brilliant evil force of some kind that's alluded to in the teaser video - it's the voice calling Jessica a fraud.

According to Netflix's synopsis of Season 3, Jessica Jones encounters a brilliant psychopath, and must work with her sister Trish (Rachael Taylor) to fix their troubled relationship and hunt him down.

After more than 150 episodes across six different series, it all comes down to this: One final season of Jessica Jones.

The last of Marvel's Netflix shows is going out with a bang. While no explicit reason was given for the cancellation of Jessica Jones and its brethren Daredevil, The Punisher, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist, the presumable cause would be Disney+ and its upcoming slate of original and classic Marvel titles.

The cast includes Carrie-Anne Moss, Eka Darville, Benjamin Walker, Jeremy Bobb, Sarita Choudhury, Tiffany Mack, Jessica Frances Dukes, Aneesh Sheth and Rebecca DeMornay.

Could Jessica Jones return on Disney+?

Many expect the aforementioned shows to resurface in some capacity on Disney+ when that streaming service gets off the ground, but such a scenario remains to be seen.

Showrunner Melissa Rosenberg had already announced that she'd be leaving Jessica Jones after Season 3 before the show was cancelled, so this wrap up actually works rather nicely.
