SoCal Marks Unofficial Start of Summer With Showers in the Forecast

Overnight lows are expected to stay in the mid-70s throughout the weekend.

Temperatures are expected to surpass record highs around the southeastern U.S. as a high pressure ridge brings cloudless, sunny skies and prevents thunderstorm development.

Tuesday night - Partly to mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures remain in the low 80s for highs on Monday and with plenty of sunshine it should be a great end to the Memorial Day Weekend.

The threat of stormy weather will loom in parts of Pennsylvania as Memorial Day weekend rolls along. Lows in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Morning clouds will give way to sunny skies by noon, making for a great beach day. Highs: Low-to-mid 80s.


Hang in there, all of you who are planning to host or attend a barbecue on Memorial Day. Friday and Saturday, we will be mostly dry area but a few pop-up showers cannot be ruled out during the afternoons.

Nashville has already tied the record high temperature for May 23rd with an all time high of 91 degrees. We'll start off sunny, with a few afternoon clouds possible.

Our "broken record" weather pattern continues through the holiday weekend.and into early next week. Saturday should be dry statewide, but there will be some scattered afternoon thunderstorms on Sunday.

Sunday - A shower or strong thunderstorm possible. Parts of central IN were under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch earlier IN the morning that has since expired.
