Mbappe hints at move away from PSG

French star Kylian Mbappe hinted at a future outside of club Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday after he was named Ligue 1's Best Player and Best Young Player of the Year.

"It's a highly anticipated moment to also write, together, a big page in the history of our club, in which each major player will have to take his share, all the while working for the squad".

I have discovered a lot here, and I feel it is perhaps the moment to have more responsibility.

Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe is not for sale and will not be sold this summer, the club confirmed with a statement on Monday, but a source has told ESPN FC it was never his intention to push for an exit. "Or maybe elsewhere with a new project".

PSG emerged Ligue 1 champions with six games to the end of the season but were sent packing from the Champions League in the last-16 by Man United.

Mbappe's comments on Sunday, with Real Madrid, reportedly attempt to lure him to Spain, appeared a calculated move.

"Maybe at PSG, that would give me great pleasure, or maybe elsewhere for a new project", he said.

Mbappe is the top scorer in Ligue 1 this season with 32 goals. "When you are in such an occasion you can send messages, I think I have sent mine", Mbappe replied to reporters.

Are you listening, Real Madrid? That move was made permanent at the start of this season. "If I keep talking it would be too much and that's not the message I want to send", Mbappe explained. This is a very important moment for me.

Mbappe joined the club in a deal that went on to cost PSG £158m from Monaco and as his stock continues to rise, so does his value. Mbappe wants his voice to count at the club and he wants to be consulted regarding player recruitment - both in regard to PSG's strategy and their planning.
