The woman, identified by police as Cadesha Bishop, 25, now faces murder charges, police say.

Bishop pushed him after he told her to "be nicer" to other passengers, according to a police report cited by NBC affiliate KSNV-TV.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident occured on March 21, but Bishop was arrested by police officials on May 6.

The victim was identified as 74-year-old Serge Fournier.

After passing her, Mr Fournier was shoved out of the door, hitting his head on the concrete and sustaining injuries which would eventually kill him.

Fournier initially refused medical help but later went to hospital to treat his injuries.

It began as an argument on a bus, police said.

Bishop was previously convicted twice in 2012 and 2013 of domestic violence misdemeanors.

Fournier spent a month in the hospital before he passed away.

But Taylor noted to the station that "no matter what his age, she should not have done that".

An autopsy revealed that the victim had died from delayed complications from blunt force trauma and the manner of death was determined to be a homicide.

Cadesha Michelle Bishop, 25, was arrested Monday on a murder warrant for the death of 74-year-old Serge Fournier. Police officials believe that Bishop had been yelling profanities at people on the bus.

A preliminary hearing for her is scheduled for May 21. "People need a little more patience than what they have these days", said the man's neighbour, Trevor Taylor.
