As a result, everyone's favourite go-to engine - unless you're one of those weird middle-aged men that uses Bing or Yahoo or Ask Jeeves for some unusual, odd reason - have included a pretty cool Easter egg when you search for the movie's central villain Thanos.

When you click on the icon, the animation of the Infinity Gauntlet will snap. The MCU movie, which has been 10 years in the making, looks into the after-effects of Avengers: Infinity War (2018) when Thanos wiped out half the universe with the snap of his Infinity Stones-crusted fingers.

"Having set up a formidable task and then some with the finish of "Infinity War, ' 'Avengers: Endgame" rises to the challenge, delivering an epic finale that proves immensely satisfying", wrote Brian Lowry, CNN's film and TV critic.

Google even shows you an updated count of the search results on the upper left corner which is half of the original number. Avengers: Infinity War now has the record for biggest opening weekend of all-time with $257 million, but it looks like Endgame will break that record easily. Users can simply click on the Infinity Gauntlet once more and the removed search results will be back on the screen.

"Everything about this movie is unprecedented and though conventional wisdom and logic would dictate that a three-hour movie could never generate these types of numbers, audience demand and a huge boost from theater owners happy to run the film around the clock have made the impossible possible", he added.

Thankfully though, you can get them back. Again, we're trying to stay as vague as possible here, but when you hear the phrase "Test no. 1" with the characters preparing to do a bunch of science stuff, you're pretty safe. That's a whole lot of stuff for the movie to wrap up-some 11 years' worth of material, in fact-and it's going to take a while (you can read our spoiler-free review to get a sense of the movie's success).

"Avengers: Endgame" has gotten off to a mighty start at the box office, earning a record $60 million from Thursday night preview showings in North America, according to the Walt Disney Co.
