Jason Momoa's beard is no longer. Momoa has kissed goodbye to his facial fuzz (for the first time since 2012, he says). The main connective thread between those roles in Game of Thrones, Aquaman, and Frontier has been Momoa's iconic beard.

The Justice League star made a decision to get rid of his beard to "make a positive change for the health of our planet".

To combat plastic pollution, especially plastic bottles, Momoa is encouraging his fans to purchase canned water.

"I just want to do this to bring awareness that plastics are killing our planet".

The Hawaii native went on: "Let's make a positive change for the health of our planet".

Momoa says "there's a change coming and it's aluminum".

Although fans aren't too pleased about the smooth-faced Jason, at least it shouldn't take that long to grow back, right? He suggested recycling aluminum as an alternative and said 75 percent of the aluminum that's ever been used is still around.

"I hate going to the airport or being on an airplane and getting a water bottle this big", Momoa added.

Jason Momoa has shaved off his distinctive beard. "Shame on you all", she wrote, adding #bringbackthebeard. Spreading awareness and a solution: "infinitely recyclable aluminum!" After Emilia Clarke posted a photo riding her pre-CGI dragon Drogo before the premiere of the show's eighth and final season, the actor who played her former husband, and Drogo's namesake, Khal Drogo posted a goodbye of his own. Aquaman's trying to do the best he can. "Water in cans, NOT plastic". Clean up the oceans, clean up the land.
