That'll change on Sunday, when executive producer Dave Filoni and some surprise guests lift the curtain on the revived show at a Star Wars Celebration Chicago panel.

This week at Walt Disney World, Disney announced an end date for IllumiNations, the first details about the Beauty and the Beast lounge are revealed, plus a fun new detail is revealed about Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.

"After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe", he stated on Instagram.

"The Mandalorian" is set five years after the Rebellion took down the Empire in "Return of the Jedi", at a time where only vestiges of the Empire remain, only the strong are surviving and chaos is taking over. He travels the outer reaches of the galaxy alone, far away from the laws of the New Republic.

The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Giancarlo Esposito, Emily Swallow, Carl Weathers, Omid Abtahi, Werner Herzog, and Nick Nolte.

In addition to executive producing The Mandalorian, Favreau is also a writer, and the series showrunner is Karen Gilchrist, who executive produced The Jungle Book with him.

Weathers plays Grief, "a guy who is running this group of bounty hunters". "Some might say he is a questionable moral character, which is in line with some of our best Westerns. He finds a bounty hunter named 'Mandalorian.'" And a series is born.

The Mandalorian is set to premiere on Disney+ on November 12.

Carano plays Cara Dune, an ex-rebel shock trooper. Surprisingly, it isn't branded as being part of the Lego Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series unlike last year's Y-Wing Fighter or the epic 7,541-piece Millennium Falcon, both of which we had the pleasure of building.

Footage unveiled during the panel showed behind-the-scenes footage of the making of The Mandalorian.

Some of the original Star Wars cast members might make an appearance as well, with Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) and Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) at the top of the list. Star Wars: Rogue One explained how the Rebels obtained the plans to blow up the first Death Star before A New Hope, and Solo told the origin story of Han Solo, one of the main characters of the original movies.
