The move to Frogmore Cottage suffered a short delay while building work was completed, ITV reports.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have joined Instagram, setting up their own account on the social media platform.

The royal couple have taken the title from KPOP Idol Kang Daniel who achieved 1 million followers in 11 hours 36 minutes - double the amount of time it took Harry and Meghan.

The couple have lived at Nottingham Cottage since their engagement previous year.

When their new official residence was announced in November, Kensington Palace said: "Windsor is a very special place for their Royal Highnesses and they are grateful that their official residence will be on the estate".

Meghan is due to give birth in the coming weeks.

She is reported to have chosen a maternity unit close to Windsor, rather than opting for the Lindo Wing in London like Kate did with her three children. Harry and Meghan realise there is intense public interest but this baby is not a direct heir to the throne and they want the birth to be as private as possible. As she is over 35, she is considered a slightly older mum - which sometimes can lead to some complications.

Here's what we know so far - and what the world is waiting to find out - about the newest addition to the royal family.

The pair will keep their fans updated on both work and personal engagements via the social media account after Meghan deleted her personal page before tying the knot a year ago.

The duke and duchess, who will foot the bill for furnishings, are said to have hired former Soho House interior designer Vicky Charles to transform their new home.
