Ms Dunne received a message from Prince Harry and his wife Meghan for her birthday just last week, which she said had "really made my day". The couple is "deeply saddened by the news and they are thinking of Daphne's family at this time", the source says.

Daphne Dunne met Prince Harry for a third time past year.

As recently as November, the war widow was donning replicas of her husband's medals and rubbing shoulders with NSW Governor David Hurley to attend the launch of defence force book "The Victoria Cross: Australia Remembers".

In the caption of the pair's first Instagram post on Sussex Royal, which featured a photo slideshow of the couple and a calligraphy logo, Meghan and Harry welcomed their new followers and shared what they could expect from their newly created account.

According to the photographers, the former actress and her prince spent over two hours at the wellness clinic, where pillows and mattresses could be seen behind a set of curtains.

The household split was a natural progression and had always been planned for when both Prince William and Prince Harry had families of their own.

"Congratulations, I think that's marvelous", Dunne told the duchess of the baby news. Well, we can't do anything about that, but we can give you the next next best thing: a highly dramatized look into what her new life as the Duchess of Sussex might possibly resemble somewhat.

As Meghan is a first-time mother, she's reportedly nervous about possible complications, and wants the birth as far away from the spotlight as possible.

"We hope that you have a wonderful celebration surrounded by family and friends, and that you've managed to escape hospital", the letter said.

Prince Charles has also given Meghan and Harry advice on how to deal with all of the negative press that's been coming their way.
