Mel B and Geri Halliwell (Scary and Ginger) of the Spice Girls photographed backstage at the Brit Awards in February 1997.

Brown made the claim to Piers Morgan on Friday during the recording of an episode of his Life Stories programme. But it's a fact. But it wasn't a thing, it just happened and we just giggled at it and that was it'.

They continued: "Mel insists it's true, but Geri says she's blown it out of all proportion and needs to keep her mouth shut, It's not going to derail the reunion and they're all still excited about going back out on the road together, but it's done damage to their personal friendship". She's going to kill me and so's her husband.

Geri's representatives declined to comment when contacted by HuffPost UK.

'She had great boobs, ' Mel dished before confirming to Piers that it was only the one time that it had happened.

Piers asked Mel if she did or didn't sleep with Geri.

Spice Girls, an English pop girl group formed in 1994, comprises of Brown, Haliwell, Beckham, Melanie Chisholm and Emma Bunton. Piers Morgan asked her, "Did you or didn't you with Geri Halliwell... did you sleep with her?" Yeah and I've said it now. In the audience, their bandmate Mel C - whose full name is Melanie Chisholm - said: 'This is all new to me.' Miss Brown, who went through a bitter divorce with her film producer husband previous year, added: 'I have said it now.

According to USA Today, Morgan spoke of the "flurried activity" after the chat, claiming that Mel B tried to call Halliwell to smooth things over in case of any problem.

There was another Spice Girl in the audience during Mel B's interview with Piers Morgan.

Geri is yet to confirm or deny the claims. I don't want to but I can nearly hear him imagining it. Mel immediately rang Geri to try to fix the damage'.

Rumors stemmed from Brown and Halliwell both being open about having been in relationships with women prior to their marriages to men - Brown to now-ex Stephen Belafonte and Halliwell to Christian Horner.

The Spice Girls' 13-date tour kicks off on May 24 in Dublin, Ireland, and will end in the band's native London on June 15.
