Biden tells potential donors he's close to announcing 2020 run

In the latest CNN poll of voters who say they will likely vote in the Democratic primary, Biden leads with 28 percent, compared to Sanders at 20 percent.

According to CNBC, several donors declined Biden's request to bundle campaign contributions due to their skepticism regarding whether the 76-year-old establishmentarian could survive a bruising Democrat primary.

Biden has yet to publicly announce his candidacy for president, but stories in recent days have claimed he is preparing to launch a campaign.

Democrats running in the 2020 presidential election are mulling the idea of packing the Supreme Court, but possible 2020 contender and former Vice President Joe Biden burst Democrats' bubble as he once called court packing a awful idea.
