Chriss responded with a punch before players from both teams separated the two.

Collin Sexton had a superb game and continues to ascend, as he had 28 points on 10-of-18 shooting to go with five assists and four rebounds, and was making winning plays throughout the game, both as a playmaker with the ball in his hands and without.

Before Ibaka, still seething, strode out of the arena without answering to reporters for his sins, he confirmed through a Raptors spokesman that it was what Chriss said to him that set him off.

The Cavaliers led 91-77 with one second to go before the buzzer in the National Basketball Association clash.

Chriss received a one-game suspension for throwing a punch at Ibaka and will lose $22,000.

Cavaliers star Chriss walked away thinking his defensive job was complete, only for a furious Ibaka to walk up and grab him by the throat from behind.

The Cavs will look to keep their momentum rolling on Tuesday night, when they'll travel to Philadelphia for a matchup against the Sixers.

Led by Kawhi Leonard, the Raptors are confident of going all the way in the east and then maybe even uprooting the Warriors when it comes to the National Basketball Association finals (if the Warriors make it this time). The Cavaliers build the lead to 27 points late in the game. McCaw appeared in three games with the Cavaliers earlier this season.

Raptors: G Fred Van Vleet (ligament tear in left thumb) missed his 11th straight game.

"You never want to see that, but I think the fact that we kept our focus and kept our foot on the gas was key in tonight's win."

"Not just with him but throughout the game with a lot of guys".

Raptors: Host the Lakers on Thursday.
