- Aaron Ramsey's opener cancelled out Harry Kane's penalty goal.

And Arsenal could have grabbed a second but for Spurs centre-back Vertonghen pulling off a brilliant block in the closing seconds as the Gunners looked to follow up Aubameyang's penalty miss.

Interestingly, Ramsey, who will be leading to Juve in the summer rewarded the Spaniard with the game's opening goal before Harry Kane's leveler ensured the spoils were shared after 90 minutes.

"I'm upset that Ramsey is leaving Arsenal and it's a shame the player and Arsenal couldn't come to an agreement as he will be missed", Pires said.

However, Arsenal received another golden opportunity to take all three points when Davinson Sanchez was adjudicated to have fouled Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang inside the box in the final minutes.

Lacazette failed to hit the target from eight yards and Spurs took advantage, Kane scoring from the spot to equalise after referee Anthony Taylor adjudged he was fouled by Shkodran Mustafi.

"We have a very hard game against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday".

The Tottenham defender was nearly level with Aubameyang as he struck the ball which meant he was also able to run back and block the Arsenal forward when he tried to turn in Alex Iwobi's cross from Hugo Lloris' parry.

Tottenham went into this encounter having lost their last two games, and the expectation of their fans was to soar against the Gunners, but they were disappointed.

"We played like a team, feeling together and pushing individually and collectively". He was a very important player there. It wasn't great our performance, but it was very good to draw and then maybe deserve to win.

At the end you have to look at all of the circumstances, the circumstances were hard and a massive save from Hugo helped us get a point to build a positive run again.

"I absolutely love him", Poyet said.

Perhaps against expectation the Gunners are in the hunt for a return to the top four, now sitting fifth, a point behind Manchester United ahead of the two sides' clash next week. We deserved the victory but the circumstances at the end make this point even more important to build our confidence and to be sure to arrive in a good condition against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday.
