Cardi B beats the boys to win rap album honours at Grammys

Cardi B has deleted her Instagram after a slew of negative comments about her recent record-setting Grammy win.

It's not like Cardi B even needed the award given how she'd already shut down the red carpet in a vintage couture gown, followed by a show-stopping performance of her new single "Money".

The star was one of the big winners at this year's Grammy awards, performing live and scooping Best Rap Album for "Invasion Of Privacy".

She went on to talk about being nominated a year ago for "Bodak Yellow", but she didn't win any awards for the song. "I've been taking a lot of shit today and I saw a lot of bullshit last night. I work hard for my motherf--ing album", she shouts into the camera.

Cardi was so shocked when she took the stage, she turned to husband Offset (yup, they've reunited!) and said, "Babe, I can't breathe...whew, chile".

She said: "He was like 'You gonna have this baby and you gonna make this album'".

"I f**king worked my *ss off, locked myself in the studio for three months... didn't go to sleep in my own bed, sometimes for four days straight, [while] pregnant", she continued, adding that many people at the time were telling her, "Your career is over", because of her pregnancy. After Miller's ex Ariana Grande shared her frustration with the "Self Care" rapper's loss, Cardi took to her Instagram story to share the album with the late rapper, who passed away in September 2018 from an overdose.

"When I found out, my album was not complete ... we have to get this album done so I could shoot these videos while I'm still not showing", she said.

'Every award, my n*****, goes to my mother's house and every award to her is just as special and just as special to me'. Maybe I need to start smoking weed!' The "Bodak Yellow" artist deactivated her Instagram account after people criticized her for receiving the Grammy (via People).
