"We did it, it's an incredible compliment to the players - they are outstanding".

The visitors shipped four goals inside the opening 25 minutes at the Etihad Stadium and conceded a further two after half-time in crashing to their heaviest ever Premier League loss.

Manchester City look set to go back to the top of the English Premier League after scoring four goals in the first half against Chelsea today. He obviously hates YOUR football team and has no interest in synchronised swimming.

Meanwhile, Blues boss Maurizio Sarri has claimed that City have one of the best midfield line-ups in the world.

But the Catalan coach need not have anxious that would prove a costly miss as Aguero made amends in stunning fashion by blasting into the top corner from 25 yards to double City's after just 13 minutes.

Talk about Carragher killing two birds with one stone! After three games in a week - Arsenal, especially Goodison Park and playing the way we played with this intensity and the desire and patience to find the right moment, the players were outstanding. "Because they are professionals and I know they will react and it will be tougher".

But Aguero more than made up for it, particularly with a stunning 25-yard opener, and the pair shared a joke when he was substituted midway through the second half.

"Then, as I always do, I went to salute him afterwards".

On equalling Alan Shearer's record of 11 Premier League hat-tricks, he added: "I have to continue the same way, but it's important to win".

That was as much of a response as Chelsea mustered, though, and it only got worse for Sarri's chances of keeping his job in the second period.
