"I've kept my mouth shut but now you're lying about me", she wrote.

The Grammys boss claims he told Ariana the song wasn't appropriate for the ceremony and he asked her to pick another, but after several conversations she decided not to perform or attend music's big night.

Last night not only saw the midnight release of Grande's long-awaited fifth studio album, Thank U, Next, but the surprise arrival of the pop star's sexy music video for her third single "Break Up with Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored".

The win was announced on the red carpet before the ceremony - which Grande is skipping - even began.

Insiders told Variety that Grande felt "insulted" that producers didn't want her to perform her "7 Rings".

Grande blasted the comments in a social media post, saying she could have prepared a performance overnight.

Grande clapped back at producers via Twitter on Thursday afternoon. While they reached a compromise in which "7 Rings" would be part of a medley, producers insisted that the second song would be their choice, which caused Grande to pull out altogether.

The 61st Annual Grammy Awards are broadcasting live from Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Feb. 10 at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT on CBS.
