Wells Fargo Having App And Website Trouble

Wells Fargo says smoke is to blame for a power shutdown at one of their facilities that resulted in customers unable to access their money on February 7. One customer's tweet said that ATMs and credit cards also were also not working, however the bank did not specifically address these issues in its Twitter messages.

This is the second time in a week Wells Fargo has experienced technical issues.

'Thank goodness I don't need money this morning for anything!' one Twitter user quipped. The bank has been fined more than a billion dollars for its customer service failures. Last Friday, the bank was also apologizing on social media for trouble with its online banking systems.

Wells Fargo & Company, a diversified financial services company, provides retail, commercial, and corporate banking services to individuals, businesses, and institutions.


The widespread outage affected many customers although the exact count can not be determined as of writing.

Earlier this month, Wells Fargo released it a business standards report titled "Learning from the past, transforming the future". We apologize for the inconvenience.

The outage affected Wells Fargo customers all around the U.S., with all of the coastal areas experiencing the heaviest issues.

Anthony Pompliano, Founder and Partner at Morgan Creek, said in a twee that Bitcoin never shuts down, after mentioning that Wells Fargo's system is shut down.
