Trump Invites Bullied Student, Synagogue Shooting Survivors to State of the Union

Re, Trump's wall, I'm not against better control of border crossings but Trump is pushing one solution and not even considering if there's a better way.

The Democratic response will come from the unsuccessful candidate for Georgia governor, Stacey Abrams, a rising star in the party.

On Monday, the White House announced its list of official State of the Union guests: 13 Americans who serve as in-person surrogates for the president's policy agendas.

In what appeared to be a retaliatory move one day later, Trump postponed a congressional delegation's trip to Afghanistan at the last minute, writing, "I am sure you would agree that postponing this public relations event is totally appropriate".

Gone are the days when the House speaker, Paul Ryan, was a Trump sycophant; Trump must now work with a Democratic House speaker who isn't shy about standing up to him.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who won plaudits from Democrats for her hard-line negotiating tactics during the shutdown, will be seated behind the president.

Congressional Democrats, for their part, say the state of our union now provides a ideal opportunity for some live-trolling of the president via special invited guests.

Trump's speech also will offer an olive branch to opponents as he looks toward the 2020 election, targeting areas he sees for potential bipartisan agreement, such as infrastructure improvements, lowering prescription drug costs and healthcare. He's reduced federal taxes and regulations, 304,000 jobs were added to the USA economy last month, unemployment is at a 50-year low, and there are now more jobs available than there are people to fill them. He also bizarrely stated Trump's policies have been bad for the middle class.

"I don't take anything off the table", Trump said in the interview. "We'll be at 100".

Donald Trump's job approval rating hit 48 per cent on Tuesday in a daily tracking poll conducted by Rasmussen Reports, the president's favorite polling organization. You don't hear that so much these days-we're all more or less resigned to the fact that what you see is what you get.

The opposition party made it clear that there would be no compromise in 2018 by staying seated during parts of the speech that would have prompted bipartisan applause if they came from nearly any other president.

Pelosi is also inviting the new president of Planned Parenthood, a former undocumented immigrant, and a DC chef who's been an advocate for immigrant rights. According to the Pentagon, the group is still able to coordinate offensives and counteroffensives.

President Donald Trump will be delivering his second State of the Union speech to Congress in the United States on Tuesday and surprisingly, there will be a sixth grader young schoolboy named Joshua Trump, who is often bullied for his last name.

Of the subpoena issued to Trump's inauguration committee this morning, Sanders insisted: "This has nothing to do with the White House".

The theme of Tuesday's speech, a senior administration official told reporters in a Friday briefing, is "choosing greatness", and the President is expected to make an appeal for unity in a "bipartisan, optimistic" tone for his first State of the Union address to a divided Congress.
