'Young and the Restless' actor Kristoff St. John dies at 52

Authorities were called to the home, and St. John was pronounced dead at the scene.

There are no signs of foul play, but one source told TMZ that alcohol may have played a role.

The actor, who played the popular Neil Winters on the long-running soap since 1991, died on Sunday, Fox News confirmed.

In real life, St. John dealt with drama that could have rivaled a soap opera.

Today it was announced actor Kristoff St John passed away at the age of 52. "That's what happened", she exclaimed.

Kristoff St. John's cause of death has been deferred by the Los Angeles County Coroner until an "additional investigation" is completed.

"No! This news has truly broken my heart".

The last tweet posted to Kristoff St. John's account was a retweet that said, "Grieving the loss of a child is a process".


"I will never forget how wonderful he was to me and everyone else he came into contact with", wrote actress Yvette Nicole Brown.

St. John proposed to Mikhaleva in August 2018.

Around the third anniversary of Julian's death in 2017, St. John was hospitalised and placed under a 72-hour psychiatric evaluation after allegedly threatening to kill himself.

St. John's work on Young and the Restless was hailed by fans as he established one of the show's first major African-American characters.

In a statement, CBS and Sony Pictures Television, which produces "The Young and the Restless", called St. John's death "heartbreaking".

He and his ex-wife boxer Mia St. John sued the mental health facility where the 24-year-old died.
