The vehicle is intended for the North American market, so the official debut will take place in the framework of the Chicago auto show in early February, 2019.

Offered only in two-row guise to "maximise cargo capacity", the Land Cruiser Heritage Edition can be specified in either Midnight Black Metallic or Blizzard Pearl paint.

Additional amenities for the 2020 Land Cruiser Heritage Edition include ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel with power tilt and telescoping and memory, power moonroof, four-zone automatic climate control with 28 cabin air vents, and Smart Key keyless entry with push-button start. Each Heritage Edition is fully loaded with the few options available for the Land Cruiser, too.

It features sporty accents, all weather floor mats and cargo liner, abundance use of leather upholstery with bronze stitching making a bold statement and it can be found in the door panels, central area as well as on the multi-functional steering wheel with mounted control. Black grille trim and bronze-coloured BBS 18-inch alloys (the latter complete with a "Toyota" centre cap) are also included, along with a vintage-style "Land Cruiser" exterior badge.

Toyota plans to build 1,200 Land Cruiser Heritage Editions. The Land Cruiser Heritage Edition will premiere at the 2019 Chicago Auto Show in February before entering showrooms in the following months. Its sole available powertrain is a brawny yet refined 381-horsepower 5.7-liter DOHC V8 engine, which produces 401 lb. -ft. of torque. Pricing will be announced closer to on-sale date.

Despite the exterior and interior changes, the Land Cruiser Heritage Edition retains the same mecahnical components as that of the standard US-spec Land Cruiser.

The mechanical elements stay the identical, which within the USA means a 5.7-liter V8 producing 381 horsepower (284 kilowatts) funneled to a full-time 4WD system using an eight-velocity automated.
