Police said the suspect was driving a gray 2004 Dodge pickup and was considered "armed and risky". Webre said they were not relatives of the suspect but appeared to know him.

Authorities in Louisiana say they are searching for 21-year-old Dakota Theriot, who is considered "armed and unsafe".

Crystal DeYoung, Billy Ernest's sister, told The Associated Press that she believed Theriot had just started dating her niece, Summer Ernest.

In a statement from the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office, Sheriff Jason Ard confirmed that deputies were dispatched around 9:00 a.m. Authorities later identified the three victims as Billy Ernest, 43, Tanner Ernest, 17, and Summer Ernest, 20.

The victims in the second shooting have been identified as Elizabeth Theriot, 50, and her husband, Keith Theriot, 50. She said she wasn't sure how her niece and Theriot met, but that she believed the relationship was relatively new. "We feel that they are related", Webre said.

As of this writing, the suspect still remains at large - and he's said to be "armed and unsafe".

The Theriots were discovered inside their home in nearby Gonzales.

Separately on Facebook, the Ascension Parish Sheriff's Office said two people were shot to death in the city of Gonzalez.

Another shared post says, "I don't care what people say about me I know who I am and I don't have to prove anything to anyone". They had recently told him to leave their house.

The 21-year-old suspect, identified by authorities as Dakota Theriot, is at large and believed to be driving a gray and silver Dodge pickup truck, according to the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office.

Webre said a triple homicide that occurred Saturday in the neighboring parish is considered to be a related incident.

Detectives in Ascension Parish say Theriot is wanted for two counts first-degree-murder, illegal use of weapons, and home invasion.

Weber cautioned the public: If you see the vehicle, notify the authorities and do not approach it.
