Bundy was executed in Florida on January 24, 1989 after confessing to 30 homicides committed, although the real total of murders is unknown. Its wide release date has yet to be announced.

Prior to the release of the trailer for Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, Netflix released a documentary about the Bundy tapes, The Ted Bundy Tapes, that already had the internet abuzz about the murderer no one expected.

But we know that Bundy is not someone to lust over. From popular series such as Making A Murderer, to Wild Wild Country, fans really do go insane when they release a new docu-series.

What alarmed me most - and what the Netflix special highlights so well - is how easily Bundy tricked intelligent young women into thinking he was harmless merely because he didn't look like Charles Manson. Michaud and Aynesworth took him up on that offer, interviewing the convicted killer over the course of several weeks.

"Conversations With A Killer: The Ted Bundy Tapes" is available on Netflix now. They asked him to speak mostly in third person as a way to get a clearer answer from Bundy while avoiding, in his own words, "the stigma of confession".

"The most damaging kinds of pornography are those that involve sexual violence, because the wedding of those two forces, as I know only too well, brings about behaviour that is just too bad to describe".

The movie is told from the perspective of one of Bundy's ex-girlfriends, Liz Kloepfer (Lily Collins), who comes to the horrific realization that the man she loves could actually be a vicious killer.

Bundy has remained a household name to true crime fans over the years, but despite his steadfast popularity and the public's never-ending curiosity in regards to his private life, his former wife has kept herself and her daughter out of the public eye. The first trailer for the highly-anticipated Ted Bundy movie dropped January 25.

Directed by Oscar-nominated documentary filmmaker Joe Berlinger, the film is set in Seattle in 1969 when Bundy and Kloepfer first met.
