Chris Brown arrested in France on suspicion of rape

As previously reported, Chris Brown was arrested this week in France on rape and narcotics charges, and T.I. implies that Brown is the victim of a conspiracy.

A police spokesman gave the following statement to the media: "He is accused of rape and is being held at the judicial police offices in the 1st arrondissement". The woman said in the report that she and Brown met at a club located near Les Champs-Elysees. TMZ reports investigators have two days to decide if they will release Brown.

In a recent Instagram post, Brown noted that he was in Paris working in a dance studio, followed by a second post showing a fan dance challenge based on his new single, Undecided.

Brown, who is a United States citizen, has been released from police custody as authorities were still investigating the case, the French prosecutor's office added on Tuesday.

The official said one of the others detained is Brown's bodyguard.

American singer Christopher Maurice Brown popularly known as Chris Brown is not new to controversies.


Brown's publicists at Sony Music would not immediately comment.

In 2009, Chris Brown was charged with domestic violence in the United States against his girlfriend at the time, Rihanna, for which he was sentenced to community service. Brown has been accused of raping a woman in Paris. He completed his probation in that case in 2015.

In 2016, Brown was arrested in Los Angeles after a woman said he had pointed a gun at her.

Chris Brown has won numerous awards, including the prestigious Grammy for "Best R&B Album" in 2012.

In July, Brown was arrested moments after wrapping up his concert in West Palm Beach, Florida.
