Instead of addressing the profanity, Sanders told "Fox & Friends" on Friday that Democrats attacked the president because of how successful he was.

In her first day on the job, Tlaib help set the tone for the 116th Congress and candidly revealed the Democratic majority's chief legislative agenda by declaring of President Donald Trump, "W$3 e're gonna impeach the motherf***er".

Tlaib, Sarsour and others in attendance outside her office were wearing a thobe, a traditional Palestinian robe.

This isn't just about Trump's language, but also his actions-the ones that inspired Tlaib to speak this way about him in the first place. Her long list of Trump's alleged crimes includes "ordering the cruel and unconstitutional imprisonment of children and their families at the southern border", obstructing justice, and advocating illegal violence.

Both congresswomen took their oaths of office on the Quran, with Tlaib using a personal copy and Omar using her grandfather's copy. It is too early to talk about that intelligently. Bullies don't win", after her victory, and she responded, "You're right, they don't.

President Trump on Friday blasted freshman Rep. Rashida Tlaib's expletive-laced impeachment comments as "disgraceful" to herself, her family and her country, in a fiery Rose Garden retort that came as the Michigan Democrat stood by her remarks.

Prior to making the comments, she had spoken about the meaningfulness of being a role-model for young girls.

Democrats spent the past year downplaying impeachment, fearing that it would rally Republicans to Trump's side and knowing that the politics of following through will be dicey even in their best-case scenario.

US President Donald Trump said newly elected Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib of MI "dishonored herself" when she used profanity to describe him. I also love Eric Holder's (obviously metaphoric) idea that "When they go low, we kick them".

"I think some of our new members probably don't realize that you are always on, that when you are a member of Congress, there's always someone listening", said Rep. Jan Schakowsky, D-Ill. And she did so in the most profane way possible.

In the speech, Trump ripped lawmakers, describing them as "bloodsuckers", and slammed Obama.
