Since January 1, the Wales worldwide was free to negotiate with foreign clubs and sign a pre-contract.

It's believed the 28-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal worth £145,000-a-week.

Khedira is a World Cup victor with Germany and has won multiple trophies with Real Madrid and Juve, but at 31 years old he's not exactly the ideal replacement for Ramsey.

Two FA Cup-winning goals, against Hull and Chelsea respectively, helped end a barren spell for the Gunners and it is those happy memories which many supporters are holding onto as his contract runs down over the next few months. The answer lies in the club's surprising dearth of options in the final third.

Juventus wanted to bring the deal forward to the winter window but Arsenal preferred to keep him until the end of the campaign.

"Bellerin and Nacho Monreal, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and also Mesut didn't train this morning".

It now looks as though he will stay at the club, however, despite rumours that Unai Emery will not use him too regularly.

The Gunners strengthened their midfield with the signings of Uruguay worldwide Lucas Torreira and French teenager Matteo Guendouzi in the summer.

Ramsey is approaching 11 years as an Arsenal player.

Blackpool manager Terry McPhillips: "Whatever team Arsenal decide to play, it's going to be a really tough day at the office for us".

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously had reported that Juventus legend Andrea Pirlo wants the Italian champions to land Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal this summer.

The midfielder has made a further three starts in the Europa League.
