Ivanka Trump: Email controversy bears ‘no equivalency’ to Hillary Clinton’s

During his 2016 campaign, Mr Trump suggested the former secretary of state should be jailed after it emerged the Federal Bureau of Investigation had found classified information in some emails from her private server.

Numerous emails were in violation of public records rules, the paper reported.

"There's no equivalency to what my father's spoken about", the First Daughter and Advisor to the President told ABC News in an exclusive interview airing Wednesday. There's no equivalency to what my father spoke about.' she said of the hundreds of emails sent on her private account.

"All of my emails are stored and preserved", she added.

Hillary Clinton once more dodged a question on Tuesday about whether she will run for U.S. president in 2020. "The fact is that we all have private emails and personal emails to coordinate with our family".

The Post reported that Trump claimed she wasn't familiar with the details on rules mandating the use of government email addresses. "There were no deletions", US President Donald Trump's elder daughter and adviser told ABC News in the US.

The Washington Post reported this month that Ivanka Trump sent hundreds of emails about government business from a personal email account previous year to White House aides, Cabinet members and her assistant, many in violation of public records rules. Nor was there anything of substance, nothing confidential that was within them.


Roberts also dove into the topic of Robert Mueller's Russian Federation investigation, which could possibly affect Ivanka's brother, Donald Trump Jr. "People who want to see it as the same see it as the same". No comment from the White House.

"He knows exactly where I stand on any issue", she said.

Additionally, she said, "I think it should reach its conclusion".

Speaking of children, Ivanka sat down with Good Morning America's Deborah Roberts for a rare interview at an Idaho elementary school she was visiting with Apple CEO Tim Cook to talk about something tech-y rather than tear-gas. Running towards the border is heartbreaking, ' Ivanka said.

An FBI investigation uncovered that Hillary Clinton had sent classified emails through her private server, contrary to assertions she made during her 2016 presidential run.

It's not the first time Ivanka has found herself embroiled in controversy since taking on a role as a White House aide in her father's administration.
