Marvel Comics Legend Stan Lee Dead at 95

Stan Lee, foundational Marvel figure who co-created some of the most popular superhero characters ever such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, and many others in the Marvel Universe, has passed away today at the age of 95. Actor Logan Marshall-Green, who starred in Spider-Man: Homecoming as Shocker, took to Twitter to share his thoughts and that the government should create a holiday for Lee. His first major cameo came in the 1989 TV-movie The Trial of the Incredible Hulk, per The Hollywood Reporter, in which Stan lee played a jury foreman in the trial of Dr. David Banner. He loved his life and he loved what he did for a living. "Rest in peace Stan".

Marvel legend Stan Lee, who revolutionised pop culture as the co-creator of iconic superheroes like Spiderman and The Hulk who now dominate the world's movie screens, has died. The father of Marvel has made so many people so incredibly happy. "RIP Stan. Thanks for everything". "Every time you open a Marvel comic, Stan will be there".

"Stan Lee was as extraordinary as the characters he created", said Bob Iger, Chairman and CEO of Disney.

Lee also had a pretty wicked fastball. A gentleman and a genius. "It's a [sic] honor to live in your universe!"

Several celebrities paid tributes to Lee as news of his death broke on Monday morning.

Early on, Stan Lee hoped to be a great American author, with designs on writing novels. "I wanted this to be a surprise, but I'm personally working on a Latino hero, that you'll be seeing at the end of the year", he said at the time, according to AFP. Anil Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Sidharth Malhotra and Athiya Shetty are among those, who also remembered Stan Lee.

Lee lost his wife of 69 years, Joan B Lee, in July 2017, and is survived by their daughter Joan Celia.

The man leading those next stages of Marvel's growth wore his heart on his sleeve in a statement after Lee's death at 95-years old today.
