Jurgen Klopp will be looking for a reaction from his players as Liverpool face Fulham at lunchtime on Sunday.

In Liverpool's last home league game, against Cardiff, Shaqiri experienced scoring at Anfield for the first time for the Reds.

"This game is a big challenge, really, for all of us".

Crucially, Jokanovic claimed that his players simply "are not showing enough effort or ambition and we must change this".

His xGp90 and xAp90 of 0.16 and 0.34 respectively give him the chance of contributing a goal every two games, while his xGBuildup per 90 of 0.29 indicates his value as a creative threat for Fulham.

We have to build on our situation, get better, get confidence. I'm very happy to be here and I'm settling in very well, but I think it's going to be much, much better the longer I settle in.

Henderson's return after almost a month out with a hamstring injury is particularly timely following two below-par performances from Jurgen Klopp's midfield.

Jordan Henderson, who has missed the last four games with a hamstring injury, is fit again, along with Naby Keita.

He said: "I would love to say that Hendo would have changed the whole (Red Star) game but I'm not really sure about it".

"I can really imagine how they feel in the moment - the football is good, a lot of things are really good, they caused [Manchester] City problems in the Carabao Cup... it's been really good football in a lot of moments".

"On the other hand, they've conceded, but you will never score a goal against a team like Fulham with their quality only because you go into the game with the wrong attitude and think about scoring, scoring, scoring".

'We must make people around us proud.

Asked whether Van Dijk is the best defender in the Premier League, Klopp responded: 'I'm not a guy who likes these comparisons.

Fulham striker Aleksandar Mitrovic is a booking away from a one-game ban.

Klopp's third-placed side have won eight of their 11 matches in an unbeaten opening to the league campaign. The Reds, who have scored the fourth-most goals in the league as of now will be keen to add a few more goals to the tally on Sunday. Liverpool's league form has been extraordinary and the Reds are one of the most feared teams in Europe.

The Premier League this season is living up to its reputation of a closely fought league. Daniel Sturridge has contributed to five goals in last three Premier League games against Fulham for Liverpool (4 goals, 1 assist). In the Premier League, that class has shone through four assists for Fulham.
