Forget polls: Sharks predict outcome of Florida Senate and governor's races

The final stretch of the campaign has been marred by the murder of two African-American grocery shoppers in Louisville, Kentucky - shot dead by a white gunman in what police say was a racially motivated attack.

Trump called the economic numbers "incredible" on Twitter but it raised the question of whether the president will pivot back to the economy - an approach favored by embattled House Republicans - or keep up his drumbeat on immigration before the election.

Viewers watching MSNBC's election coverage on the eve of nationwide midterms were likely puzzled to learn that Democrat Andrew Gillum had already been declared the next governor of Florida. Scott was expected to be with Trump when he holds a rally later in the day in Pensacola, while Gillum was to attend a get out the vote concert with Jimmy Buffett in West Palm Beach.

Only 4 percent of Republicans favor Gillum and Nelson over DeSantis and Scott. Police have not yet identified a motive behind the shooting.

"He might be a nice guy", Trump said of Tester, "except he tried to destroy Adm. Ronny Jackson, who is the most clean-cut, wonderful person that you ever met".

He added that "people are going out and they're voting for something and not against".


He also took on Obama, who had hours earlier assailed him for, among other things, "constant fear-mongering" and chronic dissembling and telling outright falsehoods about the GOP's efforts, past and present, to dismantle the Affordable Care Act's protections for people with pre-existing conditions.

During the weekend, Trump will head to Montana and Florida on Saturday and Georgia and Tennessee on Sunday. "When Bush was in here, we didn't have the racial tensions that we have now", she said.

Republicans are favoured to retain control of the Senate, whose powers include confirming Trump's nominations to lifetime seats on the Supreme Court.

'Let's make history happen right here in Florida, ' Obama told jubilant supporters at the end of a speech that was occasionally interrupted by pro-Republican protesters.

Midterm elections will be on Tuesday, Nov. 6. He said he wants to fight climate change and outlined his plans for Medicaid expansion and criminal justice reform. The singer took to Instagram today, just two days before midterm elections on November 6 to voice her support of the candidate. "I just hope it's enough".
