At BlizzCon 2018, Blizzard announced Ashe, Overwatch's latest hero.

It had been rumoured that the new Overwatch character - hero 29 - was going to be the Junker Queen.

Roughly four months after the release of the popular multiplayer shooter's last hero, Hammond (an intelligent hamster in a giant ball mech), Blizzard is already teasing Overwatch's next hero: Ashe, the "rebellious" female leader of the fictional "Deadlock Gang".

The second character revealed was not given a gameplay trailer, nor did she show off any combat abilities in the cinematic.

Introducing Ashe-leader of the Deadlock Gang and rebellious gunslinger who's not afraid to get her hands dirty.

At the "Overwatch: What's Next" panel, game developers said Bob was almost a hero unto himself and joked that Ashe is hero 29, but Bob is hero 29.5.

"Ashe quickly fires her rifle from the hip or uses her weapon's aim-down sights to line up a high damage shot".

Ashe's main attack utilized her rifle called "The Viper". "The explosion from Dynamite also lights enemies on fire, dealing damage over time". She also has a "Coach Gun", which lets her essentially rocket jump or merely propel enemies backward a few feet. McCree exchanges some words with a character named Ashe, who was revealed after the short to be the game's newest character, with her Ultimate including her Omnic companion Bob.
