The offer is being made in celebration of Destiny 2's presence on BattleNet.

The unbelievable news was revealed before the Blizzcon 2018 Opening Ceremony, which will include news on Heroes of the Storm, Hearthstone and Diablo. The giveaway is to mark the game's one year anniversary on PC, with the game being free indefinitely for anyone who downloads the title in this window.

In order to clarify the situation and avoid as much confusion as possible, it's important to note that the entire base game of Destiny 2 will be free for players to acquire on PC on Battle.net all the way through the aforementioned date, and fans will be able to keep it thereafter.

If you have Destiny 2 and none of its expansions, expect to pay almost the same amount with the past expansions costing Rs.1,660 in India ($20 in the US) while Destiny 2: Forsaken sports a Rs. 2,500 price tag ($40 in the US).

A free trial of Gambit, Forsaken's excellent new PvEvP game mode, will also run from November 9 to 11 - that'll be for those players who own Destiny 2 (or grab it through this giveaway) but haven't jumped into Forsaken.

Destiny 2's base game is now available for free on PC.but be prepared to be locked out of content. Existing players will get an "exclusive in-game emblem".
