Injured DeMarcus Cousins Ejected From Warriors Bench

Warriors big free-agency acquisition DeMarcus Cousins has yet to suit up and play in a game for the team thus far this season, but he made an impact in Friday's showdown with the Knicks - sort of.

Following a timeout with 2:28 left in the first, it was announced Cousins had been slapped with a technical foul while sitting near the end of the Warriors' bench.

A source told ESPN's Marc Spears that Cousins and Kanter were talking trash to each other on the court during workouts hours before the game.

Warned to stop the back-and-forth with Kanter, Cousins turned his attention to Foster, who sent him to the locker room early.

It's an interesting start for DeMarcus Cousins as a member of the Golden State Warriors.

Cousins was also seen arguing with Knicks player Enes Kanter. In Foster's words, he was ejected not for what he said, but for the "way of which he stated what he stated".

Foster said Cousins was "warned" before being "ejected for one technical foul for unsportsmanlike conduct". He then took part in Golden State's game-day shootaround Wednesday before a home victory over Washington.

The All-Star big man is now recovering from an Achilles tendon injury and he should soon be cleared to participate in team activities. "I'll talk to him about it-I gotta hear from Demarcus what happened and we'll talk it out".
