E! News said Rose's costume was designed by Colleen Atwood. Called Elseworlds, this year the crossover will "only" be between Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl as their attention turns to Arkham Asylum and its madness. TV released the first look at the new live-action Batwoman coming to the small screen in December. Production begins Tuesday in Vancouver, reports ET.

It has been confirmed that DC's Legends of Tomorrow will sit this crossover event out, keeping in mind that there is still a fourth show involved as a pilot episode starring Ruby Rose as Batwoman is in development. In a city desperate for a savior, Kate must overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham's symbol of hope. Rose is a notable member of the LGBTQ community, so playing a character who has been described as the "highest profile gay superhero" was certainly a great opportunity for Rose to represent the LGBTQ community further.

Rose took the role of Batwoman primarily to help shed more light on an unrepresented community. "I feel like the reason I keep getting so emotional is because, you know, growing up watching TV, I never saw somebody on TV that I could identify with", she told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. "Critics also accused Rose of not being a lesbian since she also refers to herself as gender-fluid". Rose consequently left Twitter.

"Elseworlds" begins Sunday, Dec. 9, with The Flash at 8 p.m.; continues Monday, Dec. 10, at 8 p.m. with Arrow; and concludes the following night at 8 p.m. with Supergirl.
