Amazon adds 4K streaming to the Fire TV Stick

This improved performance should result in faster menu navigation and app switching, but more importantly it enables 4K video streaming when the Fire TV Stick only supports video up to 1080p. Plus, the all-new Alexa Voice Remote gives you even more control with dedicated power, volume, and mute buttons, along with the ability to use voice commands to find and control content. The Alexa integration also means that Echo users will be able to use their smart speaker to playback content on their TV connected to a Fire TV Stick 4K.

A Fire TV Recast bundle including the Fire TV Stick 4K, recently unveiled DVR, and a 35-mile HD antenna can also be purchased in exchange for $249.97, while a Fire TV Stick 4K/ Echo Dot combo now fetches $79.98.

Amazon just announced another new product: the 2018 Fire TV Stick.

Amazon's new Fire TV Stick 4K ($50) is now available for pre-order. It will also be compatible with the earlier Fire TV stick and will be available as a standalone remote for Rs 1,999. The firm has also confirmed that as a part of the update, Amazon will bring Alexa support on all the existing Fire TV devices in India from the same day. The new remote will also start shipping on October 31. It's compatible with all the latest generation Fire TV hardware. It's available to pre-order now, and should ship at the end of the month.
