A spokesperson for the NYPD told CNN that in addition to the misdemeanor count of assault, the burgeoning rap star has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment for her alleged involvement in a brawl at Angels Strip Club on August 29.

Reports speak of misdemeanour charges after it's claimed two sisters working as bartenders were assaulted.

The Bodak Yellow rapper was arrested and charged with assault and reckless endangerment, the New York Police Department confirmed to Us Weekly. An insider told Page Six, "Cardi is heading down to the precinct to claim her name and innocence".

Despite this, it doesn't look like she will spend any time in jail for now but she will have to show up in court at a later date.

After this latest incident Cardi B appeared at a Police in station in Queens on Monday. "Apparently, she thinks her celebrity status puts her above the law, since she has bragged to multiple people and on social media that she orchestrated these vicious attacks", Tacopina said.

One of the bartenders involved told TMZ that Cardi B accused her of having an affair with her husband, rapper Offset. She turned herself in to the 109 precinct this morning.

The women were hurt, but they did not want medical attention. The attack was "spontaneous" and was triggered after someone threw a drink. She was just performing at the Global Citizen Festival over the weekend and preached to "millennials" about voting for the next election.
