I realized he was strong to the head but weak to the body so I was switching it up.

"I got my knockout streak back".

"You can't beat me, I will out-heart you, I will force my will upon you until you quit and that is a promise".

Now boxing fans will wait and see whether Joshua and WBC champion Deontay Wilder can come to terms on a bout for the undisputed heavyweight title.

Heavyweight championship boxing returns today, as three-belt heavyweight world titleholder Anthony Joshua will step into the ring to defend his titles against the risky Alexander Povetkin.

"There is a lot of pressure the whole country is rooting for us. I'm going to show you guys - there you go".

Joshua said Povetkin was one of the toughest challengers. Joshua capitalised on his aggression in a way that Klitschko could not, dropping him once before stopping him on his feet.

"I know you have got a big punch, I know you are unbeaten, I know you have got a big mouth, and I know you want to win, but you don't want it like I do", Fury said in a video addressing Wilder on social media.

Joshua, born in nearby Watford but based in London, had been taken the distance for the first time as a professional in his last title defence - a unanimous points victory over New Zealand's Joseph Parker in Cardiff in March.

"This is not new to me, this feels like home", he said ahead of a bout that pits two former Olympic boxing champions against each other, Joshua having won gold at London 2012 and Povetkin at Athens 2004.

Joshua, returning to the arena where he knocked out Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko in April, 2017 to become a unified heavyweight world champion, was given a hero's reception by the almost-capacity crowd.
