Apple may have launched its new Apple Watch Series 4 with features including an ECG reader with Atrial Fibrillation detection, but sadly, those two features won't be available at launch in the U.S., and they'll take even longer to get to Australia.

It will send notification if heat rate appears to be too low.

According to CEO Tim Cook, the new Apple generation has a lot of potentials to be, once again, the best generation of smartphones worldwide with a 98 percent satisfaction rate on the last iPhone X.

In June, Apple announced that owners of the original Apple Watch models - including the gold Watch Edition version - won't be able to update them to WatchOS 5, the latest version of the operating system, which is due out on Monday.

A chief objective for the heart rate monitor inside earlier Apple Watch devices was to help calculate calorie burn. The edge-to-edge curved display blends with the body of Apple watch, making the design look seamless.

Apple's new iPhone XR will begin preorders on October 19, and are slated for release on October 26. This small watch can now take an electrocardiogram (ECG) using the new electrical heart rate sensor.

The strategy has been successful, helping Apple's stock up more than 30 per cent this year and making it the first publicly traded USA company to hit a market value of more than $1 trillion.

Physicians say the watch could be good for patients who have irregular heart rhythms but may not realize it.

"The more we pulled on the threads, the more we realized that we have an enormous opportunity to really help people from a health standpoint", Williams said in an interview.

Apple's new tech also comes with fall detection. All of the data and stats collected are then synced with the health app and ECG can be shared as a pdf file with doctors. They have also unveiled their new Apple Watch Series 4 that day. With the widespread appeal of the Apple Watch, he said, that's only likely to increase.

The new iPhones have more powerful processors and cameras, and a dual-SIM card feature for top-of-the-line devices.

"It's almost unprecedented that you would deploy a medical grade diagnostic across the population irrespective of a person's risk and clinical position of having a disease", Khandwalla said in a phone interview.

While the iPhone has made Apple the world's most valuable company, worth more than USD1 trillion, it has slipped to third place among smartphone makers as Chinese-based Huawei has grabbed the number two spot behind Samsung. The company says it protects your privacy by encrypting the data on your devices and online through iCloud.

Fall detection is automatically enabled for users over age 65, ; otherwise, you can turn on the feature inside the Watch app on your iPhone.

If a person falls, and then is motionless, the watch will call emergency services, he added.
