Real Madrid feels 'very different' to Chelsea - Thibaut Courtois

He was offered a new long-term deal to stay at the West London club but he refused to sign a new contract as he entered the final year of his deal.

Courtois was offered a new mega long-term deal by Chelsea to stay at Stamford Bridge however, he told the London club that he would not be signing the deal as he moved into the a year ago of his current contract.

Contrastingly, the Blues look much better placed for a return to Europe's top competition this season under Maurizio Sarri, having won their first four Premier League games.

"He has changed his position on the pitch, he is now a winger and he has to improve in that position to be playing", Sarri told reporters. Manchester City's 2018/19 third kit!

And Jorginho is more than happy with how life in wets London has begun under his former manager at Napoli in Sarri.

He said: "When you see the [Champions League] draw on TV, the groups and your team is not there, I felt like smashing the TV set".

In his Real league debut last Saturday, against Leganes, Courtois conceded a goal from the first shot he faced, when he beaten from the penalty spot. "It is also quite hard to explain certain things", Jorginho was quoted as saying by beIN Sports.

As The Sun reports, the former Blue has taken "another dig at Chelsea" by comparing them unfavourably with his new club Real Madrid.

"The goalkeeper continued, "[The Santiago Bernabeu] is twice as big [as Stamford Bridge], of course, it's a very different feeling.

"To understand the difference with the infrastructure in England you have to experience it".

Jorginho is now away on worldwide duty with Italy and he's expected back into Chelsea's starting XI after the break.

Jorginho has eight Italy caps and made over 100 appearances for Napoli, who signed him at the start of 2014.
