India exclusive mobile payments app Google Tez re-branded to Google Pay

Google also announced the expansion of Google Station, which aims to bring fast, reliable and easy to use Wi-Fi to more places around the world, to Andhra Pradesh.

On Tuesday, the Web search giant re-branded the app and said that it is partnering with four Indian banks, Federal Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank - to provide instant loans to the app's users.

In the fourth year of its flagship India event, technology giant Google made it clear that its focus in the country is on voice and local languages- two areas that will drive wider adoption of Google's products. It does in fact, serves as a companion app and can be easily accessed using the Navigation button after users search for a particular route on Google Maps Go. To enhance its consumer experience, Google has partnered with RedBus that will help the user get better public transport information like upcoming stops and alerts on Maps application.
