"My birthday wishes happened - well, one of them did - to meet Drake, and that one did happen and it was great, and my other wish is to get a heart - which is gonna happen soon", Sanchez says in a video posted by her cousin, who also appeared in the original "Kiki Challenge" video, on Facebook Sunday.

The 11-year-old Downers Grove resident had her first wish granted August 20, when the rapper paid her a visit in her hospital room as she awaited a heart transplant.

Sofia Sanchez posted a video asking the Canadian star to help her celebrate her birthday earlier this month.

"Sofia is getting a heart!" said the family through an update on the page, announcing that Sanchez would finally receive a transplant today. She is now a patient at Chicago's Lurie Children's Hospital.

Sofia, a student at Kingsley Elementary School in Downers Grove, was diagnosed wih cardiomyopathy, an incurable disease that causes heart failure.

Berger attributes Sofia's positivity to the support of her loved ones - but taking selfies with Drake probably didn't hurt, he said. "Oh my god", Sofia said as she begins to cry and hugs her mother.

"Sofia is getting a heart", the August 26 update stated. She underwent open-heart surgery several weeks ago, so doctors could install a pump called a VAD. The rapper, in town for a Chicago tour stop, visited Sofia last Monday where the two "bonded over Justin Bieber, basketball and Drake's two dogs". "It's a miracle", she said. But the surprises for Sofia and her family didn't stop there, CBS Chicago reports.

"Yes please!" Sofia happily replies, jumping off her hospital bed to give him a huge embrace.
