Earlier this week, Kelvin Benjamin had a bunch to say about the Carolina Panthers, most notably Cam Newton, who he had as his quarterback during his 1st three and a half National Football League seasons.

When asked post-game what their whole interaction was about, Benjamin said that he "wasn't even trying to listen" to what Newton was saying, per Mike Rodak of ESPN. Benjamin explained. "Any other accurate quarterback like [Aaron] Rodgers or Eli Manning or Big Ben [Roethlisberger] - anybody! - quarterbacks with knowledge, that know how to place a ball and give you a better chance to catch the ball".

When it became clear Benjamin wasn't over their squabbling, Newton ushered away a Bills player for privacy, but Benjamin walked away from the conversation. Benjamin was speaking with another former teammate, Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis, who appeared to say with a smile, "I thought we were cool", while standing very close to the receiver. This was not one of them.

Benjamin had been pretty critical of the Panthers star in a recent interview. Benjamin and Newton spoke on the field before the game in what looked like an awkward exchange. I don't know, man ...

What a game! In a contest that had a little bit of everything, the Carolina Panthers defeated the Buffalo Bills by a 28-23 margin.
