Samsung will begin taking pre-orders for unlocked models at 12:01 am ET on August 10th, and the Note 9 will officially launch on August 24th. New for the Note 9 is a intelligent camera system that uses AI to perform object recognition and detect blinks, notifying the user immediately if a shot is blurry or other issue.

And then we have the signature, all-new S Pen with Bluetooth support. Eventually, Samsung will discontinue the Note 9 and Tab 4 altogether, meaning that if the deal were to continue there would be no way of getting the Fortnite skin at all.

While the Galaxy Note 9 is the main focus of today's Samsung Unpacked event, the company still had a few surprises up its sleeve.

The camera now has scene detection modes that can choose the best shooting mode for you, features seen on 2018's Huawei P20 Pro and LG G7 ThinQ.

The 6.4-inch screen Note 9 will start at $999.99 and max out at $1,249.99 - becoming, at about $100 above the iPhone X's upper limit, one of the world's most expensive consumer phones. A dual-lens camera, with better zooming, came to the Note 8 months before the S9 Plus got it, for instance.

The Galaxy Watch comes in two different sizes - 42mm and 46mm - and was announced alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note 9.

Bixby may have negative value for Samsung, says one analyst, as it is "hopelessly outclassed" even by Apple's Siri.

On Thursday, Samsung (OTC:SSNLF) unveiled the Galaxy Note 9, which is available for pre-order in the United States starting Friday and in stores two weeks later.

Once we know the pricing for the watch, we'll be sure to update this article.

As expected, numerous Galaxy Note 9's hardware are taken from the Galaxy S9+. If Epic were to just open the floodgates to every potential mobile player, it'd be too much to handle. Those include the S Pen, which is one of the things that makes a Note a Note. While the base variant is listed in Mystic Black, Engineered Blue and Artisan Copper colour options, the 512GB variant is expected to be available in Mystic Black and Engineered Blue.

Elsewhere, the Note 9 features AKG-tuned stereo speakers that are the "loudest ever" on a Samsung phone, a rear-positioned fingerprint scanner, Google's Android 8.1 Oreo OS, USB-C, a 3.5mm headphone jack, support for wireless charging and Samsung DeX, which can now be enabled using an HDMI adaptor. The redesigned smartwatch has a circular screen, is water-resistant, and can connect to LTE cellular networks, the company said. It's also tying its Watch more closely to its Galaxy line, contrasting with the Gear line. It promised more details at its developers' conference in November.
